Welcome to the SkinnyWeek website! At SkinnyWeek, it’s not about being “skinny”. Our goal is to help you break the cycle of yo-yo dieting once and for all. We want you to embrace life through delicious food, friendship, and lifelong habits. We strive to remove guilt and obsession, and focus on normalized eating behavior. We don’t promote restrictive calorie targets. If being hard on yourself worked, it would have worked by now.
Our meetings energize, engage, and leave you feeling stronger than when you arrived. We offer a calorie and macro-based method, but you can use an app of your choice. Our member materials help you celebrate and keep you moving toward your Destination.
I’m Cherie Blessum, the Founder of SkinnyWeek. I’m here to guide you and inspire you to find joy in weight management - without deprivation, restriction, or misery. I’ve spent nearly 20 years instructing and learning about weight issues, including my own. I couldn’t do this without my family by my side. My husband Mike is our chief operations engineer. He handles the behind-the-scenes systems that keep SkinnyWeek running. Our daughter Rachel provides our graphic design and is also hands-on in the meeting room. Our son Jay is a CPA, and the bookkeeper for SkinnyWeek.
